조민준은 제주도에서 나고 자라 어릴 때부터 바다를 가까이하며 다이빙을 배운 뒤 해양생물 전문 수중사진가가 되었다. 무거운 방수 하우징과 스트로보를 직접 다루며 상어, 고래, 산호초 생태계를 수십 미터 수심에서 촬영하는 프리다이빙 기법을 주로 사용한다. 인공조명을 최소화하고 자연광의 산란을 활용한 푸른 색감이 그의 사진을 특별하게 만든다.
